Nestled amongst the palms trees and tropical garden on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie this is the perfect location to spend a few days or weeks sailing, skiing, swimming, paddling, boating and fishing.

The Place is not just an ideal summer house, it's a fantastic base with plenty to do around the area from a private Hunter Valley mini bus trip from your door to exploring the areas of Newcastle, stroll along Darby Street for a spot of lunch or explore nearby Caves Beach & Catherine Hill Bay. The Olive Tree Brasserie restaurant offers Modern Mediterranean style cuisine in a casual dining setting in neighbouring Summerland Point or simply unwind and enjoy an unplugged evening in with your family.

When you want a rest from playing in and on the biggest salt water lake in the Southern Hemisphere, you could play a game of cricket or footy on the waterfront reserve, enjoy the gardens and pool in this fully fenced property, relax with the kids at Lioness Park which is a short walk across the bridge, or hang out at the house and enjoy many of the extensive features included as outlined below.

THE PLACE is well equipped for a great family holiday and is big enough to accommodate two families or the extended family. It has two living areas, ensuring there is enough space for everyone to relax and chill out. The downstairs living area has been set up for children with a cupboard full of games and toys, and Arcade Machine. whilst the upstairs living area is more for the big kids, with a bar area and a large tv for the armchair sports lovers.

There is also 2 Kayak's at the property with life jackets provided for that little bit of extra fun! Used at your own risk.

There is a fully functioning kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Plastic ware for the kids and serving ware for entertaining is also included for use along with a pantry that has a selection of essentials such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, sauce, salt, pepper, herbs, spices, oil, cling wrap, foil and paper towel. The laundry has both washing machine and dryer and there is an iron and ironing board for guests to use.

All bathrooms have a limited supply of soap, hand soap and toilet paper. The downstairs bathroom also has a separate bath as well as a shower. Bed linen and bath towels are provided for your convenience.

Ducted air conditioning upstairs and gas heating along with fans downstairs will keep the house at a comfortable temperature all year round. The balcony overlooks the reserve and lake making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Important message for guests organising events.
We have a strict no party or events policy. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, so any type of events such as hens/bucks/schoolies/end of season sporting groups/birthday parties celebration are not allowed. If you are unsure if your group falls into any of these categories please enquire before booking. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges, bond forfeited and/or eviction will apply.
